ASTD Treasure Valley
The Treasure Valley chapter of ASTD is located in Boise, Idaho, and has been an ASTD local chapter since 1981. We have around 60 local members, as well as nine members who serve on the local Board of Directors.
We offer a variety of programs for our members, including:
- monthly programs
- seminars
- networking meetings
- a yearly summer picnic
This year we are lookiing at expanding our programs, to include:
- more practical, tools-based meetings
- expanded, multi-day, focued seminars
- Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
In addition, ASTD Treasure Valley Chapter has a variety of committees that help the chapter function. Currently we are looking for volunteers to serve on the following committees:
- Communications - helping with mailings, Web site updates, newsletters, and other chapter communications
- Programs - helping with finding speakers, speaking yourself, and assisting with running meetings and seminars
- Membership - helping to meet the needs of our members, and helping the Membership Director with contacting members and maintaing member databases
- Promotion - helping the Director-at-Large promote ASTD to the public, businesses, and government agencies.
ASTD National
The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) is the world's largest professional organization devoted to furthering training design, development, delivery,and consulting. Headquarted in Alexandria, Virginia, ASTD has a florishing National program, and over 100 local chapters throughtout the country.
